In the mid-2000s, my painting became more essential due to inflammation in my arm. It is not easy to have to start learning to draw from scratch. The themes reflect the urban dynamics of my “urban portrait” works, but in this case, the human figure becomes abstract, allowing space for form and color. These interventions have been crucial for deepening my understanding of abstraction and informal painting.
